Hideki Tojo Attempted Suicide

April 13th, 2009 by · No Comments · Uncategorized

Hideki Tojo was the Prime Minister of Japan when the Pacific war broke out. He was held responsible for being the head of Japanese government when all this happened. Tojo shot himself in the chest in attempt to kill himself so he would not have to face the punishment he deserved.  Tojo has missed his heart even though a doctor had marked the spot where he would need to shoot himself.  He had a will drawn out. It was found the day before his arrest. Tojo was convicted as a Class-A war criminal by the International Military Tribunal for the Far East. He was executed on September 11, 1945.  After he was convicted he was hung.  Tojo was considered responsible for killing 8 million civillians in China.
